• Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day plant operations and motivate the work force to work hard
• Communicate effectively with company management to ensure all issues and important matters are notified in a timely manner and decisions implemented.
• Work closely with production team to ensure the output meets/ exceeds the production plan. The manager must be able to remove waste and constraints from the production process to improve efficiencies and enhance productivity.
• Ensure product quality and compliance in line with Nepal Standards (NS) guidelines pertaining to cement products
• Work closely with various departments to ensure the plant is properly maintained and operating efficiently. The manager must maintain appropriate reports/records of the maintenance schedule and present this to company management in a timely manner
• Ensure all plant and production reports are being sent to company management in a timely manner as per schedule defined
• Must be able to liaise with various government organizations, ministries and bodies to deal with any legal and compliance issues
• Must be able to deal with the labor union effectively to identify and resolve any issues with the workforce
• Analyze workforce requirements on a continual basis. This includes performance appraisals of the workforce
• Work with the Purchase In-Charge to negotiate the best rates with Suppliers for any purchase indents. Ensure indents are being converted to orders and items are being receipted against orders in a timely manner
• Other duties considered reasonable in line with the position and in the normal course of business

• Must have at least 5 years experience of plant management in a reputed company
• Should be energetic, resourceful, willing to learn and participate in company affairs, and be a strong team player
• Should have good interpersonal and communication skills
• Must have excellent leadership skills and qualities
• Must have strong negotiation and organizational skills
• Must be adaptable, persuasive, self-motivated and goal driven
• Must be proficient in the use of spoken and written Nepali and have basic English knowledge
• Must be proficient in the use of MS Office, Internet and Email
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to ride a motorcycle

• Bachelors/Masters degree from a reputed University
