Youth Network for Peace and Development Mahottari (YNPD) is a youth led organization formed in 2064 BS in coordination of five clubs from five VDCs of Mahottari and established in 2066BS with the coordination of seven youth clubs from seven VDCs of the district. It is a network of youth clubs now being a common plat forum for the youth of Mahottari districts discussing youth problems, its solutions and the way of implementing project according to the problems.

Project Coordinator -1

  • Bachelor degree in business or related field of study/ Master Degree Preferable
  • Two years’ experience in related field.
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge files management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.

 

  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures. Organizing, attending and participating in stakeholder meetings.
  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings. Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.
  • Ensuring project deadlines are met.
  • Determining project changes. Providing administrative support as needed. Undertaking project tasks as required. Developing project strategies. Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
  • Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members. Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.

 

Admin and Finance Officer -1

  • Oversee the financial operations of the organization and ensure timely and accurate financial reports and practices including cash management, payroll, financial disbursements, ledgers etc.
  • Preparing and maintaining donor agreements and staff contracts.
  • Manage financial control, prepare and analyse budgets, develop financial reports, and make recommendations to the organization on budget expenditures.
  • Obtain approvals from the Director and from the donors on all procurements and purchases for the projects and for the organization.
  • Monitor the expenditures to ensure that program funds are utilized appropriately by the close of the fiscal year.
  • Ensure that all financial reporting and audit is completed on time and submitted to donors.
  • Provide financial inputs for proposal development, project management, Human Resource Management policies, logistics, travel and other areas of administration.
  • Managing office supplies stock and placing orders. Preparing regular financial and administrative reports. Administration of organization databases

Fundraising officer -1

  • Creating, planning, implementation, management and oversight of all aspects related to fundraising for the organization.
  • Identifying donor opportunities, develop donor database, respond to donor tenders and call for proposals, develop grant proposals, write appeals, represent the organization at donor meetings and undertake follow-up of potential funding opportunities.
  • Explore and develop strategies for long-term sustainability of the organization and its interventions
  • Undertake online research and build contacts with potential individual donors and raise funds for the activities of the organization.
  • Improve and develop communications material for the organization such as brochure, website, annual report, DVD, poster etc.
  • Liaison with private agencies, the government and other organizations to explore potential collaborations for raising funds for the organization.

Position for provincial coordinator (1)

  • Graduate degree in Social Science, Political Science and any other related fields/ Master Degree is Preferable
  • 3 Years of work experience in project management.
  • Preview experience with UN funded projects and programs are advantage
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing projects, public awareness, advocacy.
  • Experience in working with civil society related issues, diplomacy skills and ability to negotiate.
  • Ability to think strategically and to act in the best interests of YNPD as a whole.
  • Excellent communication skills: speaking, writing, and listening. Fluency in Nepali and English.
  • Good computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook, Internet.
  • Ability to collaboratively work in a team environment.
  • Work in coordination with program manager to lead, manage, oversee and supervise projects in province 2 within the predefined budget.
  • Implement the project in alignment with the mission, goal and vision of the organization.
  • Communicate with clients and other stakeholders to gain community support for the program and to solicit input to improve the program.
  • Represent the organization in funding committee and communicate with funders as outlined in funding agreements.
  • Prepare and review training material for projects and train the stakeholders.
  • Liaise with other civil society organizations and coordinate with sister organizations on particular advocacy matters.
  • Moderate Advocacy Committees Meetings and events Assist in convening Advocacy events e.g. press conferences and seminars.
  • Contribute to designing and revising YNPD strategy and work plan to be based on changing needs, priorities, and projects effectiveness and feasibility.
  • Identify and evaluate the risks associated with program activities and take appropriate action to control the risks.
  • Respect the culture, keeping events and themes tuned and balanced in all program activities.
  • Report evaluation findings to the Programme Manager and recommend changes to enhance the program, as appropriate
