Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights. This role requires a strong background in accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex financial tasks with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.

• Account Reconciliation:

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.
  • Resolve discrepancies and ensure all accounts are accurate and up-to-date.

• Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to management.

• Audit and Compliance:

  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and accounting standards.

• Tax Compliance:

  • Prepare and file tax returns by legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and advise management on tax-related issues.

• Financial Analysis:

  • Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide insights into financial performance and recommend actions for cost reduction and efficiency.

• Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and mentor junior accountants and accounting staff.
  • Provide training and support to ensure accurate and timely completion of accounting tasks.

• Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop and document accounting procedures and best practices.

• Record Maintenance:

  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
  • Ensure data integrity and confidentiality.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting, with at least a year in a senior or supervisory role.
