ABOUT PLAN INTERNATIONAL

We implement programmes through local development partners in 24 districts in cooperation with the Nepal government, civil society organizations, and schools.

We invite application from interested and eligible candidates for the following positions:


1. Director of Program Quality and Innovation-1 Position
Fixed-term employment for 2 years from the date of employment-based in Country Office

Oversees the development of high quality, innovative programs that deliver immediate and lasting change for girls in Nepal in line with the Country Strategy, and for monitoring the quality of the implementation of those programs. Also leads to disaster preparedness and initial response for Plan International Nepal, providing technical assistance and appropriate monitoring and evaluation in emergency responses. This role is a Country Management role reporting to the Country Director


2. Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Specialist - 1 Position
Fixed-term employment for 2 years from the day of employment-based in Sindhuli or Sunsari

Achieving gender equality, promoting gender justice, realizing girls' rights, and fostering an inclusive Society are core objectives of our work as an organization dedicated to child rights and equality for girls. This commitment is reflected in our Global Strategy 100 Million Reasons, our Values and Behaviours Framework and our Theory of Change. Plan International requires all the program to be gender transformative and the GESI Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that it is achieved in designing and implementation programs at the three area offices -Sindhuli, Sunsari, and Makawanpur districts. He/she will provide technical leadership on designing and delivery of gender-transformative programs in the field as well as Country office as required and ensure its implementation.


3. WASH and Resilience Coordinator - 1 Position
Fixed-term employment until March 2022 based in Surkhet with extensive travel to Dolpa, Jumla, and Kalikot

Plan International Nepal's new country strategy is designed to deliver significant change for girls, boys, women, and men putting special emphasis on gender equality. The program has strategic approaches to transferring skills to girls, boys. women and men for protecting from and responding to disasters, strengthening organizational capacity to respond to medium scale and mega-disasters, and increasing demand for improved behavior and quality WASH service provision, and strengthening governance and institutional framework of the WASH sector. The program aims to develop and implement a gender transformative approach that goes beyond equal access and participation for girls, boys, women, and men but using the interventions to contribute to greater gender equality, inclusion, and empowerment.
