Environment and Public Health Organisation (ENPHO) is a service oriented scientific NGO established in 1990 that envisages contributing in sustainable community development by combining research and action through integrated programs in the areas of environment and public health. ENPHO's mission is to develop and promote appropropriate technologies to enable socieities to become eco-friendly. ENPHO has 73 members, 40 staff and a well equipped laboratory that has been accredited by the Nepal Bureau of Standard and Metrology. The Lab has produced various Field test kits and is involved in conducting regular monitoring of air quality and water quality. In the area of household energy, indoor air pollution and health, ENPHO is working with the Alternate Energy Promotion Centre of the Government of Nepal to conduct an evaluation of improved cook stoves and their impact on indoor air pollution and health.
