Last year, it reached 56,000 young people through their programmes focused on Civic Participation, Livelihood and Employment and Sexual Reproductive Health. Restless Development was founded in 1985 and now operates in more than 30 countries worldwide. Restless Development places young people at the forefront of change and development, helping them to make responsible choices about their own lives, gain the skills they need to contribute to their societies and play active roles in policy and decision making processes. Restless Development Nepal was able to successfully implement programs over 40 districts through local partner organizations such as International Citizen Services, Dance for Life program, Youth Junction For Transformation, Youth Participation In Development Process, Big Idea and HAMSA project and implementing Rupantra package, through these projects Restless Development Nepal was able to achieve its goals and reach many communities through training and capacity building of the young people, and through giving them the tools to address their communities needs. Moreover after the devastating earthquakes that hit Nepal in April and May 2015, Restless Development took part in the post earth quake relief, as it partnered with other local organizations to plan and implement an emergency response project, in seven of the most effected districts – Dolakha, Kathmadu, Lalitpur, Rasuwa ,Ramechap, Makawanpur and Sinduli. Major activities were implemented such as clearing the debris and building over 400 functioning Temporary Learning Centers (TLCs).
