A Junior Accountant provides crucial support to the finance department by managing daily transactions, updating the general ledger, reconciling bank accounts, and assisting with monthly closings. They ensure accuracy in accounts payable/receivable, prepare financial reports under supervision, and maintain compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance & Tax: Supporting tax preparation and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Administration: Managing petty cash, filing documents, and assisting with internal audits
- Data Entry & Maintenance: Recording daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate ledgers, and managing accounts payable/receivables.
- Reconciliation & Reporting: Reconciling bank statements, processing invoices, expense forms, and assisting in preparing balance sheets and income statements.
