job description
  • Assist in the preparation of financial documents, such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable/receivable records.
  • Perform data entry tasks to input financial transactions into the accounting system accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger entries, bank statements, and expense reports.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by investigating and resolving any discrepancies or errors.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions by processing payments, issuing invoices, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to monitor and track budgetary expenses, highlighting any variances or trends.
  • Assist in conducting financial analysis and preparing financial forecasts or projections as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and exercise discretion in handling sensitive financial matters.
Job Specification
  • Associate's degree or higher in finance, accounting, or a related field. Relevant certifications or coursework in finance/accounting are a plus.
  • Proven experience in a finance-related role, such as a finance assistant, accounting clerk, or bookkeeper.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and tools, as well as Microsoft Excel for data entry and basic financial calculations.
  • Understanding of financial procedures, bookkeeping principles, and basic accounting concepts.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to the overall success of the finance department.
