- Animal Care: Provide basic care and attention to pets, including feeding, grooming, exercising, and cleaning their living spaces. Monitor their behavior and report any concerns to supervisors.
- Veterinary Assistance: Assist veterinarians or veterinary technicians during routine check-ups, examinations, and procedures. Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and assist with handling animals during appointments.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications or treatments to pets under the guidance and supervision of veterinary professionals.
- Data Entry and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of animal health, behavior, and treatments using electronic or manual systems. Input data into databases and update medical records as required.
- Customer Service: Interact with pet owners and clients, providing exceptional customer service by answering basic inquiries, scheduling appointments, and relaying information to the appropriate personnel.
- Facility Maintenance: Clean and maintain animal housing areas, including cages, kennels, and play areas. Ensure a safe and sanitary environment for pets and assist with waste management.
- Observational Learning: Observe and learn from experienced professionals, acquiring knowledge about animal behavior, health conditions, and medical procedures.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all relevant protocols, regulations, and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of animals and staff members.
- Professional Development: Participate in training sessions, workshops, or seminars offered by the organization to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field of animal care.
