The Clinical Nurse Supervisor (Registered Nurse – Assistant Manager (ICU)) for the ICU will provide leadership and support to a team of nurses and healthcare staff in the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role will involve both clinical leadership and administrative duties, ensuring the ICU unit is functioning effectively and providing excellent patient outcomes. The Clinical Nurse Supervisor will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to create a cohesive and supportive environment while also contributing to direct patient care, as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership
● Provide clinical guidance and support to nurses and staff in the ICU.
● Participate in patient care, including assessment, planning, and evaluation of care.
● Ensure adherence to established clinical protocols, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Administrative Support
● Assist with staffing, scheduling, and budget management to ensure optimal unit operations.
● Oversee day-to-day unit operations and ensure smooth workflow within the ICU.
● Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and improve unit efficiency.
Communication and Collaboration
● Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate excellent care.
● Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to address unit challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions.
● Serve as a point of contact for staff and patients, providing guidance and resolving concerns.
Patient Care
● Provide direct patient care when necessary, including assessment, medication administration, and monitoring.
● Educate patients and their families about their condition, care plans, and discharge instructions.
Supervision and Training
● Supervise, mentor, and provide support to ICU nursing staff.
● Participate in staff training, development, and performance evaluations to enhance professional growth.

Qualifications:
● Registered Nurse (RN) with relevant experience in critical care/ICU.
● BSN (required); MSN (preferred).
● Strong clinical skills and knowledge of ICU care, with 3-5 years of ICU experience required.
● Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience managing staff or projects.
● Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
● Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
● Ability to assess and prioritize patient needs quickly and accurately.
Must-Have Requirements:
● Registered Nurse (RN) with relevant ICU experience.
● BSN (required) or MSN (preferred).
● Strong clinical expertise in ICU care, with 3-5 years of experience in critical care.
● Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
