Job Purpose:

The Supervisor is accountable for managing outsourced employees, ensuring optimal performance and productivity. Key responsibilities include facilitating communication between the team and upper management, directing daily activities, and closely monitoring performance. You will handle shift management, task instructions, attendance, and record-keeping while producing detailed reports as required by the Head of Department (HOD).

Your role is crucial in maintaining a safe, productive, and positive work environment, managing schedules effectively, and fostering a dynamic workplace culture.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRA):

  1. Source and Recruit: Identify and recruit local unskilled manpower for the factory as per the HOD's requirements.
  2. Schedule Interviews: Coordinate interview scheduling with Line Managers and HRD.
  3. Finalize Candidates: Collaborate with Corporate HRD to finalize candidate selections.
  4. Complete Documentation: Ensure all joining and personal file documents are completed, including Citizenship, Education, PAN, Nominee Citizenship, and Bank Account details.
  5. Conduct HR Induction: Provide HR induction, including Code of Conduct, and ensure handover to department HODs.
  6. Maintain Records: Accurately track employee attendance, performance, and training.
  7. Manage Workflow: Oversee employee workflow, manage schedules, delegate tasks, and supervise accordingly.
  8. Allocate Work: Distribute work based on the Production plan and department requirements.
  9. Monitor Performance: Supervise manpower, track station performance, and report to the Production Executive.
  10. Handle Breakdowns: Manage manpower during breakdowns efficiently.
  11. Organize Relief: Plan and coordinate manpower relief during shortages.
  12. Ensure Safety: Enforce PPE use and maintain safety standards on the production floor.
  13. Track Inventory: Keep accurate records of in-process inventories.
  14. Maintain 5S Standards: Uphold the 5S methodology on the production floor.
  15. Plan Cleaning: Organize manpower for cleaning and waste removal from the production area.
  16. Report Waste: Maintain reports on scrap or waste transfer to the scrap yard.
  17. Promote Workplace Culture: Foster a strong work ethic and positive culture, encouraging teamwork and collaboration.
  18. Monitor Equipment: Ensure all equipment is functional and report maintenance issues to the Maintenance department.
  19. Enforce Policies: Implement company policies and ensure adherence from all employees.
  20. Handle Disciplinary Actions: Communicate disciplinary actions promptly to HR and clarify the code of conduct.

Reports: Daily Manpower Report, Grievance Report, Disciplinary Action Report.
